Dr Kenneth Miller grew up in Beaumont, Texas and graduated from Baylor University in Waco. He received his MD degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. During surgical residency training at the University of Alabama Hospitals in Birmingham he married Laura Harrison. They have two grown children, Tinsley and Kristin. Dr. Miller served as a Major in the US Army Medical Corps from 1972-74 on the general and orthopedic surgical services during which time he met two physicians who would subsequently settle in Oak Ridge. Upon completion of his surgical training in 1977, Dr. Miller came to Oak Ridge to join a practice of general and vascular surgery.

He began to specialize in wound care in 2005 and received training in Hyperbaric Medicine in 2006. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society.
