Mary Smith has been in the health profession since 1987. She started as a nurses aide and went on to graduate as an LPN. Her nursing career began on a psychiatric floor in a hospital, then an all male teaching floor and then on to become an afternoon charge nurse in a nursing home.

At this point, Mary took several years off to start a family and raise two children. Whenn they were nearly grown, she went to work in home health and then changed to an allergy office. Mary is now a valued member of the Wound Treatment Center in Oak Ridge.
